Wilkes Works’ capabilities also include brand development, public relations, ghostwriting, basic website design, video storytelling (by partnering with video producers), and social media programming.
Tad Wilkes, Founder
Tad Wilkes, founder of Wilkes Works, is a restlessly creative, passionate storyteller at heart.
Before launching Wilkes Works, Tad worked with Red Window Communications as its senior account manager and then as senior content producer.
Tad’s experience includes decades as a journalist and editor in the hospitality industry, as editor-in-chief of Nightclub & Bar and Hotel F&B magazines. He also has practiced law in Mississippi and South Carolina, and spent three years with CoreLogic | FNC, working with large mortgage lenders in their use of the company's technology platforms.
An Oxford, Miss., local, Tad attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and a Juris Doctor degree in law. He also co-founded Roxford University, a children's music school that develops a passion for music through opportunities to learn from actively performing local artists.
Why the rabbit?
The gung-ho bunny in our logo is no random rabbit.
Rabbits symbolize the abundant potential for growth and creation in all of us. In mythology and folklore, rabbits are mystical creatures that are both wise and mischievous. They move quickly and represented fertility and prosperity in some ancient cultures.
And, of course, rabbits have big ears for listening.
